First step: Open photoshop and open a new file.

Second step: Type out anything you want onto the background. (Make sure its in black or anything dark because overlaying only works well with dark colors.) So right now, I'm using a simple font, Arial. You can download any fancy fonts on dafont.com and they're free so yeah.

Third step: Click file and then click Open. Open any picture you want.

Fourth step: LOL.... Since the nebula hipster shit is really popular now, Imma use this picture haha

Fifth step: Now, drag the picture into the first file. (the one with the typography on it)

Sixth step: Set the image layer to SCREEN. (As shown in the picture if you don't get me.)

Seventh step: And then you're done, you should be getting this.

Eighth step (Not neccessary): Crop it if you want~ I hope this helps!

Here are a few other examples of overlaying, using the same method! ;) I hope you guys like this tutorial and see you guys soon! This is a really really simple tutorial so I think you guys should be able to follow. If you don't get anything, feel free to formspring me! Till then x

Woah this would be so cool and i'd be so happy... if i had photoshop.
